KTN Fun FAQ & Game Rules
Kitchen Table Numberology is a game of finding matching numbers in names, families, celebrities, and phrases—not a prediction service.
What is Kitchen Table Numberology?
Kitchen Table Numberology (KTN) is a game of discovering common numbers in names, words, phrases, and birthdays. Every name has numbers. So do famous people, quotations, movie titles, familiar expressions, and countless other things. KTN helps players discover the numbers they share. The fun begins with unexpected connections among family, friends, celebrities, and familiar phrases.
What is the difference between Numerology and Numberology?
Numerology is a traditional system of assigning numerical values and symbolic meanings to letters and dates. Kitchen Table Numberology uses a different approach: it turns numbers into a matching game rather than focusing on predictions about people. Numerology asks, ‘What do my numbers mean?’ Kitchen Table Numberology asks, ‘Who and what shares my numbers?’ You do not need to believe in numerology to enjoy KTN.
How does KTN Fun work?
Enter a complete name, a word, or a phrase. KTN calculates Vowels from vowels, Consonants from consonants, and Full Name from all letters. These form a three-number combination. Players can explore names and phrases with matching numbers across different categories.
What is my Vowels Number?
Soul is calculated from the vowels in your name. In traditional numerology it is commonly associated with inner feelings, desires, and motivations. On KTN Fun, it is the first number in the three-number combination.
What is my Consonants Number?
Mind is calculated from the consonants in your name. Traditional interpretations often associate it with how a person approaches or presents themselves to the world. On KTN Fun, it is the second number in the combination.
What is my Full Name Number?
Skills uses all the letters in your complete name. Traditional numerology sometimes connects this whole-name value with expression, talents, and potential. On KTN Fun, it is the third number in the combination.
What is my Birthday Number?
Life Drive is calculated from a person's birthdate. It cannot be calculated from the name alone. It is used in expanded Baby Naming and family comparisons.
What is my Name + Birthday Number?
Power combines the calculated name result and birthdate result according to KTN's approved calculation rules. It requires both a name and a birthdate.
What do numbers 1 through 9 mean?
In traditional numerology, commonly cited themes are: 1—leadership and independence; 2—cooperation and sensitivity; 3—creativity and expression; 4—stability and discipline; 5—freedom and change; 6—family and responsibility; 7—reflection and study; 8—achievement and management; 9—compassion and idealism. These are traditional associations, not scientific personality measurements or predictions. The focus of KTN Fun remains matching.
How many different KTN Fun combinations are possible?
KTN Fun organizes reduced Vowels and Consonants results into 81 combinations (nine possibilities for each). Full Name follows from the combined underlying letter totals under the KTN rules. Players can explore each combination and its matching entries.
Why should I enter my complete name?
The letters entered determine the result. A full name, first name, nickname, and name at birth can produce different numbers. For meaningful comparisons, use a consistent name convention. Celebrity examples prioritize verified names at birth when that information is available.
Can I calculate a nickname or a different spelling?
Yes. First names, nicknames, married names, alternate spellings, and complete names can all be calculated. Changing even one letter may change the numbers.
Can I calculate words, quotations, and phrases?
Yes. Try a favorite saying, movie title, song title, inspirational message, familiar expression, or even a paragraph. The KTN Fun name-and-phrase entry currently accepts up to 5,000 characters. Exact wording matters: different versions of a quotation may calculate differently.
Does Y count as a vowel?
Yes. In Kitchen Table Numberology, Y is always treated as a vowel. This is a fixed rule of the KTN calculator.
What are Celebrity Matches?
Celebrity Matches reveal recognized people—including actors, athletes, musicians, presidents, and others—whose calculated numbers match a player's entry. A match identifies the same numerical pattern; it does not mean people have identical personalities or experiences.
What is Baby Naming Numerology?
Baby Naming is a companion KTN game for parents and families. Players can explore potential baby names, calculate Vowels, Consonants, and Full Name, and compare with celebrities and the names and numbers of family members.
Do I need the baby’s birthdate to play?
No. A name can be explored before the baby is born. A birthdate is needed only for numbers that depend on the date, such as Life Drive and Power.
Do I need the mother’s or father’s birthdate?
No. Parents can enter names without birthdates. Baby Naming calculates the available name-based numbers and uses them in comparisons. Birthdates add Life Drive and Power when available.
What is the Common Numbers Grid?
The Common Numbers Grid helps players see which numerical values are shared among the entries being compared, without needing to examine each calculation separately.
What is the Family Grid?
The Family Grid compares available KTN numbers for the baby, mother, and father. It can reveal shared numbers even when one or both parents' birthdates are unknown.
Does a numerical match mean two people are alike?
Not necessarily. KTN identifies shared numerical patterns under its established rules. A match is an invitation to explore and compare, not proof of a personality trait, destiny, or spiritual connection.
Are there winners and losers?
No. Kitchen Table Numberology is a game of exploration. There is no score to beat and no wrong combination. The enjoyment comes from discovering surprising connections.
Can I calculate another name or phrase?
Yes. Select Calculate Another on KTN Fun to clear the current entry and begin a new calculation. The separate calculation history remains available.
